Introduction to Dr Microbe
Primary care physicians are invited to register for a modular, web based, learning programme focusing on the appropriate prescribing of antibiotics for respiratory tract infections in adults.
Developed by a European faculty of experts and primary care physicians and supported by the Cardio-Thoracic Department at the University of Milan, the programme offers the following learning modules:
- Module 1 - General overview of community-acquired adult respiratory tract infections and appropriate treatment
- Module 2 - Appropriate treatment of acute exacerbations of chronic bronchitis (AECB) and acute exacerbations of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (AECOPD)
- Module 3 - Appropriate treatment of acute bacterial rhinosinusitis
Each module will take around one hour to complete and includes a fifteen minute audio and slide presentation, three interactive clinical case studies, twelve learning questions and a feedback questionnaire.
